What is there near the Cat´s Hostel?

First, the Cat´s Hostel is right in the centre of Madrid. From the hostel you can discover nearly all the most famous monuments, museums and beautiful squares of Madrid, all within walking distance.


Huertas district

The entrance to the hostel is situated in a road that runs parallel to the most important and best known street in terms of the Madrid scene. It is the ideal place to begin a night out and is awash with bars, discotheques and "tapas" establishments. The hostel''''s staff will be only too pleased to give you all the information you need on Madrid, so that you can enjoy your stay with us to the full. Next door to Cat''''s is Casa Patas, Madrid''''s oldest and most internationally renowned flamenco venue, where there are live performances every night and hostel guests enjoy special prices.


Atocha Station

Our hostel is a 10-minute walk away from the centrally located Atocha station. If you don''''t believe us, try it yourself with a stopwatch.


Puerta de Sol

This is the place where everything begins in Spain, including races, New Year, etc.

Plaza Santa Ana y Plaza Mayor

You will come across groups playing in the street, artists and other entertainers. In these squares, you can enjoy watching different types of people going about their business, listening to performances and savouring refreshments in one of the many terraces.

When night falls, the pubs, clubs and theatres open their doors, guaranteeing you a great time during your stay in Madrid.

Historical Madrid

The Royal Palace and the "Madrid de los Austrias" area are situated close to the hostel. Palaces, grand houses, churches. there is a piece of Spain''''s history to be found on every corner, on every street, etc.

Cat''''s Hostel is an 17th century palace. Like all self-respecting places, it is reputed to be haunted by a ghost. Will you be able to find the spectre? It is certainly our longest-standing guest..

The Museo Reina Sofía, the Museo del Prado and the Parque del Retiro are all less than a 10-minute walk away from the hostel.
